i'm not the squeamish type but when i see house centipedes they creep me out something fierce. i tried to snatch one once with a paper towel and when i looked at what i caught it was just the legs and they were all moving it was disgusting.
Please tell me your bug stories.

We get what is known as Parktown Prawns. They are a type of cricket. Huge things, impossible to kill, and must be the ugliest things on this planet. They actually go for you while you are trying to get rid of them. They hide in dark corners, and in shoes etc. Absolutely hideous, I am very afraid of them.

Perhaps the worst incident was a box of oatmeal, in which apparently the seal had been broken, unknowingly to us. It was put into a plastic tub, and weeks later we found it to be full of unpleasant white flying insects and their pupa casings.

Needless to say, they were all destroyed.

Cicada Killer -- these are nasty, vicious things that look like GIANT wasps, very aggressive. They will attack you even OUTSIDE -- and this one was in our kitchen. We finally had to smash it with an 8 ft long piece of baseboard molding so we did not get too close. GROSS!
