unfortunately when i worked at retaurant it was a must and an obligation written on the contract that i have to smile and be nice to customers
but once the boss pissed me off so much i decided i would make him pay, so on night shift (it is 24 hour restaurant on the motorways) when it was totally busy i just left the restaurant for customers alone, and told them i m leaving the job and everything was free...
so u can imagine the face of my boss in the morning hehe
p.s . n to cover my a** i put the letter in the office dated back 2 weeks of my leaving the job...

You will never get anywhere with that attitude. As a boss who pays people in the service industry I expect our staff to make our clients feel good and welcome to our salon. You will never get out of the work you are doing because no one wants to help a searly *****. You'd be the first one to carry on if you were sacked for being rude to customers. If ou want to be treated like an adult starty acting like one

Didn't make much in tips then? I think its more unnerving for your boss if you smile all the time! They start to wonder what you know!

I was once asked to 'photocopy this you fat cow' by a really horrible boss.
I told him to take his trousers down and remind the world what 'small' was like. Right before I threw my telephone at him and walked out.

Smiling , being friendly and giving good customer service is what waiting tables is all about. Giving your boss sass wont get you any good references or future employment.

I had a creepy boss who said he liked his women the same way he likes his coffee; I interupted him and said, "Ground up and stored in the freezer?" Everyone snickered, and the creep deserved it!!

I haven't. I always wanted to become a boss myself, so I did not make any silly comments. - It worked. Today I am the boss of a multi billion corporation and 450 staff......and laugh about those who think they get anywhere by giving sasses to their bosses.
