I intend to buy a new computer soon with Core2 duo chip and nVidia grahic card to run Windows Home Premium. Due to budget constraint I intend to use my current Dell CRT monitor and upgrade to a LCD monitor later. I will use the computer to surf the net, run Microsoft Office and play some games. Will I encounter any problem using the old CRT monitor.

it should be fine - you may need a DVI-VGA adaptor depending on the graphic card output though.

You should be just fine. If you're playing really high end games you might notice the monitor isn't ideal, but you would have had that same problem no matter what computer (old or new) was connected. Other than that you shouldn't have any issues.

Of course you still can, but you will not be able to get the best quality of your new Graphics card, although it is not a big deal since it would run faster, but i advice you to get at least 15" of LCD monitor. :D
