All hear is "this is illegal" and "that is illegal". They war in Iraq is illegal, the occupation of Gaza and the Golan Heights by the Isrealis is illegal, and everything is illegal. I'm not sure what makes any of these things illegal. I do not think the UN makes things legal/illegal. Power gives Isreal the right to hold that land. Whine and ***** about legality as much as you want, Isreal has the larger guns and the United States has the larger guns. There is no such thing as legal/illegal in international relations.

I think many of you misunderstoon my question. You are whining about injustice and "rightness", but never the less. The people with the power will make whatever they do right because no one can stop them.

You forgot how we have an illegal president, because he was illegally elected (I guess the supreme court can make illegal decisions now.)

You're correct, it's something of a made up term that's easy to understand and pronounce for the protesters. This is not an illegal war, as the President was granted authority by Congress to conduct the conflict in Iraq, thereby making it lawful.

I do not think that might makes right. Imagine if some murderous tyrant, such as a Hitler type, had all the might and power to rule the world. He could exterminate millions, but he wouldn't be right. As far as legal or illegal, that depends on which countries laws you go by, and even then, the interpretation of the law. Most individuals and even countries can justify what they do, but not everyone agrees with what they do.
Prior to 1963 in the United States, it was legal to discriminate against certain races of people. Legal does not always mean it is right.
As far as Iraq is concerned, I do believe the U.S.A. and its Allies are legal in taking action to rid the world of Saddam and those who have proven to be torturous murderer's. War is never a good thing, but unfortunately it is necessary when evil regimes come into power.

Its kind of weird. Might does not make right, but you cannot be right without having the might to support your ideals. We have never heard of a "right" loser.

As for the war, like said earlier, it was approved by congress and run under the guidelines appointed to the Commander-in-Chief.

As for Israel, they are doing what they can as a people to survive. Hell, if some asshole was firing a rocket into my home and killing people everyday, I might take his land too.

Legality aside, there is justice and injustice. Having might, does not make right. When the mighty are unjust, that does not make them right, it makes them bullies.
