It's not names I call them behind their back, I only use those names in my head when I think of them.
I did use one of those names when speaking to someone once. I didn't like the person anyway, and with good cause.
I gave a real sarcastic "oops" and explained to her that this is what I call them in my head and why.
Beyond that; it's my mind and I can do what I want in there.

Yes, it was my exhusbands fault, he had nicknames for everybody, and we both worked at the same manufacturer, a coworkers name was Bill Clump, and my ex always referred to him as Clumpy, I was the one who slipped and it was so embarassing, and I felt really bad because he was a nice guy and I wasn't making fun but it sounded like I was.

yeah, my husband and I called his sister and her husband the flanders becuz their really, lets just say "SWELL" and we slipped up on that one once.
Also we used to call my best friend Fron Fron because she has a big bump on her forhead like a frontosa fish, and I slipped on that one once....
Thing is, everyone that knows me KNOWS i have a nickname for everyone, and some are so mad cuz they don't know what their own is, they'll find out in time....

no. but that's a very good reason not to give someone a nickname you wouldn't want them to hear.

I saw someone do that at work. Fortunately he used the acronym, T.W., so it kind of passed unnoticed.
(TW stood for 'The Weasel').

get comfy..=)...okay...when I was younger my best friend and I had another friend who unfortunately had a rather large nose...so one night we were drinking and came up with "Woody" after Woody Woodpecker, because of the beak factor and her nose..well shortly after that, after drinking again,...(we loved to party)...it slipped out to her...when she asked why we called her "woody" I came up with the fact that her last name was "Woods" so hence.."Woody"!lol...hey it worked and to this day we call her Woody and shes none the wiser..=)
