Hmm...depends on your definition of home.
I once spent six years away from my hometown.
Now, I've spent 2 1/2 years away from "home" (meaning the state I lived in most of my life) and counting.
I haven't lived at "home" (meaning with my mom) for seven years.
And as for the nearly three years I've spent away from home this time, I haven't seen any member of my family aside from in pictures this whole time.

I was away from home for 6 months when I was an exchange student. This was last year and I was 17.
