I think Paris Hilton should be able to pay someone to serve her 45 days in prision. There may be a poor person who is desperate for money to feed their family. What do you think?

In the old days they had a 'whipping boy'. This was a poor boy, who was whipped when his rich buddy got in trouble (someone had to be punished, so the parents would pay to exact the punishment on the poor boy instead whenever the rich boy got in trouble).

No she can't.

The law is supposed to apply equally to everyone regardless of their age, race, wealth, gender, creed, etc etc. To exact punishment on the poor so that the wealthy can walk free without accountability to the law really negates the point of justice.

Also, 'whipping boys' as you refer to them were often killed in the process of being dealt the punishment of the rich. Their poverty and lack of nutrition made them less physically able to withstand beatings. If they survived the beating they would later die slowly from wounds that they could not afford treatment for. Either through blood loss, organ failure, or infection.

In the case of driving dangerously, it is important to realise that Paris could have easily killed a pedestrian trying to work hard to feed their family. The fact that she endangered society in this manner, on a number of occasions, is why she is going to jail for 45 days.

Maybe next time she will think twice and hire a driver. A poor person could make more money from driving Paris around for years and years, than by serving her 45 day sentence.

What is the object of the justice system. to administer justice for all and equally ( although those with resources always have a unfair advantage). So no that should not be possible. Otherwise a mass murderer would be able to get some desperate familly to get one of the relatives with a terminal illness to take the chair (or noose) instead.

Simply put NO!!!
