(i put my question here bc. more people participate in this section)

Is it any good buying a little more expensive moisturizer for the use during the day if you can't afford a good night moisturizer - so if you buy a relatively cheap moisturizer for the night, does this damage your skin and leave the good moisturizer without the effect? thanx

(what do you think about Nivea; thanx)

I have just begun using moisturizer in my 60's because before it made my skin break out. I use nivea. Actually I knew a woman in her 70's when I was about in my teens and she had the most wrinkle free skin, she used vaseline petroleum jelly. Go figure. I don't think that price has alot to do with it, we tend to think we get what we pay for, but not necessarily so.

hi gal,i personally use Nivea.i use the one for dry skin, this can however be too greasy if your skin is normal or oily.If your on a budget like i am,for night use id recommend baby lotions and oils, they moisturise, leave skin confortable as they penetrate deep into the skin without reacting since they are extra mild. With this you can never go wrong as the oils have no harmful chemicals and they leave your skin so smooth you,ll notice the difference. If you'll use baby lotions,i recommend you apply them while skin is still damp to retain extra moiture, try it gal.....you'll love it.Im Joan in Kenya(joanganga@yahoo.com)

I find nivea a greasy, that would be good for your night moisturiser, you want a light day moisturiser, that soaks in, and no they dont have to be expensive to be a good one, as long as it suits your skin, type. Ponds do a light day moisturiser, and its only £3.50
