I haven't really changed my diet much or how much I do (or don't) exercise. So why would I get heavier for no particular reason? Should I do a pregnancy test even though I think it's v unlikely that's the reason (on the pill - though I forgot a couple times - and hardly ever do it anyway!)

Hmmm - I'm pretty regular - eat porridge and lots of fruit and veg and drink water all day long! So it seems unlikely it's a waste issue...

slackywompas - the level of exercise hasn't changed - I may not do much, but a) it hasn't changed and b) I bet it's more than you do!!

its probally water retention, sounds daft, but drink more water, and try and get a few walks in.

Try a mild laxative and one day of fasting and see if the weight level doesn't revert to 5 lbs less. I have a feeling it's something in your intestinal tract/ bowel that has slow transit time is all.

have you been ... shall we say getting rid of your waste food regularly ? It's amazing how much of the stuff we keep around. you need to weigh yourself at the same time every day preferrably after 'waste removal" .
