Mostly yes.... quite honest in answering even personal questions due to the shield of anonymity available here. But the strange thing is that once in a while, it is not possible to be totally honest even here...... something within us makes us refrain from speaking the truth.
In a room with strangers, face to face, would not be easy enough.... since our face is exposed, even with strangers we would be more careful and artful in what we say or hide.

I'm not more honest. I am more open. I probably wouldn't talk to strangers at all. But if they asked me the same questions that strangers ask here, I would give the same answers. I wear my heart on my sleeve. A lot of people put on a front when they're in public. I don't have the patience for games. I am who I am.
I am shy though & this is an easier way to talk with strangers for sure!
:)

I'm usually the kind of person that stays silent in a room of strangers and thinks things over before I open my mouth. In a room full of strangers they would have moved on to a new topic before I have decided what it is that I want to say. So... I'd say the same things, but talking to people face to face I don't get around to opening my mouth as much.

The same. If my answer is not true, which doesn't happen by design, in here that's the same I would have given in a room with a bunch of strangers.
I am always me in my responses!!!!

Actually, I'm a bit more candid in real life, because when I'm face to face I can know who it is that I'm talking to. For all I know, some of the people on this forum could be (and probably are) people I know from my day to day life. Anonymity is limited here by the possibility that someone I know will recognize me from something that I say about myself. In real life I know what I am saying and who I am saying it to, which adds security even when what I'm saying is very personal. I have no reason to be guarded with people in my life, so I have no hesitation in being honest with them as long as I know who they are.

i dont think so,,,,, i believe i respond as i do in life,,,,,, i am honest but sometimes state things less strong then i really feel,,,,,, as i do in life also now. in fact,,, since this is pretty much a "one-shot" opportunity to get your point across, i find i try to word things even more carefully,,,,,,, as there isnt an opportunity for further explanation, as in real life, even with strangers.
i dont feel wording things carefully is the same as not being honest, its just holding back,,,,,,,,, the old "it doesnt matter what you have to say,,, if you cant present it in a way the listener can relate to "

~~~ No. I'd say the same exact things,although I don't know what I'd be doing in a room full of strangers. ~~~
