Im not sure what the difference is between a poll and a survey....I would have thought a poll required more a yes or no answer, where a survey was asking peoples general opinions.... so Id say surveys.

Not really.
I think that when an asker is not very sure as to in which category he should post his question, he posts it here. It is a ..multicategory this.
