Anyone know the name of this aromatic grass?

A co-worker told me about a grass that when stepped on emits a lavendar like aroma. She said you see that grass in pictures where people are laying in it....But; she could not think of the name. Does anyone know what she was talking about?

Sweet Grass, Sacred Buffalo Grass. Vanilla scent especially when used as smudge.
