1963 ford Supermajor5000 backhoe with hydraulic problems help?

no pressure under heavier load, and the engine revs up when not under a load please advise

It sounds like capitation or air in the hydraulic system . It requires bleeding .~~

Sounds like the pump is either cavitating (sucking air), or the pump has a mechanical problem. When was the last time the filter was changed? Also, make sure the fluid you are using is the proper weight/viscosity. Right off the top of my head, I can't remember all the details of your unit, but this may help.
