if it's a nail.not too hard as you may get it crooked and have to bang again and the neighbours might not like that!
if it's the door.bang as hard as you can but not too hard that might make a hole on it...
and if it's the sort of banging you hear in the bedroom...honey ,you can bang all you want...just as long as we can do it all night...
