Death penalty should be abolished. Also you can free a man after 10 years when evidence comes to light that proves him innocent. You cant release a dead man from his jail cell.

As far as I am lead to believe, the death penalty was abolished in Great britain because too many people were hung and proved innocent after they were dead!!.
I recall a tale(not sure of the absolute facts) where a man lived in a little house which, when he moved in had a partioning wall in the lounge around where the fire place should have been. He lived there for quite a while and then one day decided to knock down the wall. Behind the wall was a number of bodies(which looked like they had not been there for too long!!) He reported this immediately and low and behold, he was convicted of mass murder and sentenced to death. (this was before forensic science)
A number of years after his death, he was proved innocent. The real killer was found. After this a lot of people were opposed to the death penalty because sometimes justice does not prevail and innocent people are sent to prison, this man lost his life because of a faulty system and no one could say 'hey sorry mate, we got it wrong'!!!
I personally believe that the death penalty is wrong, no one has the right to terminate anothers life. However, there are so many people who commit heinous crimes in society and then live half decent lives in prison, paid for courtesy of the law abiding and fundementally decent people of this country(world) which is also wrong. I think, that the justice system has to be more full proof and people who commit murder etc should live the rest of their lives in torment for what they did, after all how can they pay for what they did, when they are dead.
I think they should be made to suffer, but I don't know how. I only know that taking lives is wrong in any sense and you cannot give back the life of an innocent man/woman when they have been put to death! So I think life in prison is better, but these people should not have an easy ride of it and should never ever be let out either. Life should mean life!!!

In Singapore, the penalty for drug trafficking is death.
There a lots of people in this world who would not mind a future in prison in exchange for a lot of money.
How else can we make them really think hard before deciding whether or not to take that risk? The death penalty is really a complicated matter and more often than not, people don't approve of it, because approving would make them seem like they approve of murders.
Furthermore, the death penalty is not sentenced unless the person is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. It is not right but I think like all forms of punishment, it serves more as a deterrent. I do not believe punishment reforms people. It's the counselling and spiritual healing they find in prison that changes them.
However, I would have no qualms thinking of the most cruel and painful forms of death for rapists, child molesters and parents who put their children up for prostitution. There should definitely be a death penalty for that.

If it is proven without a shadow of doubt - then I believe in the Death Sentence.
If any doubt then they should be given life sentence - by that I mean a life sentence - not 15 years or 25 years etc.

I don't believe in owning weapons; and the existence of instruments of punishment and torture can be self-perpetuating. The threat of punishment can cause stress, which can cause crime. I have felt personally on both sides; sometimes it seems like a person for example one who actually tries to kill another in whatever way, should actually suffer death. But God always argues with me about this.

Only for public officials like george and ****! Throw in a few crooked chiefs of police and the occasional government auditor and it would be appropriate! It depends on whether you can get the convicted to work enough to pay for their incarceration or will it cost less to end their miserable lives!

I hate it cause I see both sides of this argument. Some believe that if we kill the people who kill then we are no better than them. Who are we to decide who lives and who dies? But on the other hand, putting them in jail forever teaches them nothing and most get out on parole and do it again. They get a second chance even though they didnt give the person they killed one. That one is a hard one.

Yes, its right!! why does a killer get the choice of having a life, living and breathing, laughing and eating, making love and paying taxes, when they have taken the choice away from their victim?
Did they ask the victim if they would like their life to end? The victim might have liked a choice.

demise ability they go through for a 2d. i might particularly they suffered for a whole life in penitentiary. the subject with it fairly is a) penitentiary is almost a holiday camp in this u . s . and b) existence in this u . s . ability approximately 2 years. they'd desire to make prisons worse than demise and deliver human beings away for his or her total lives particularly than purely some years. that's somewhat hypocritical of the penal equipment (or lack thereof) to declare "you have killed somebody it fairly is misguided so we are able to kill you." the united kingdom would not would desire to deliver the demise penalty returned as that's an extremely primal operation yet prisons would desire to be made lots extra harsh and criminals would desire to pass away for an precise form of years.
