I guess i do, lolol. i had to delete some of my posts. I read them back and i cringe. I think its sheer frustration that its still going on and no news so far.
I would like to clarify that i didnt mean respect, in the sense of bow down to me, you will do what i say.
I used the wrong word, and im paying for it now. I just meant for people to show a bit of mercy.

No, I agree with most of what you say. Remember Joanne Lees ? She refused to speak to the tabloids - as is her right - and they really went for her, even accusing her of murdering Peter Falconio. In their grief, the McCanns probably think they are doing the right thing, and that all this publicity helps. It certainly helps sell newspapers. But a period of silence from them would now be very welcome.
But for leaving their child alone ? I regularly left my children outside shops - once I forgot all about my son, came home, made a cup of tea, sat down to read the paper and suddenly thought "There's something missing.." dashed back. He's fine, so is my daughter - what punishment do you think I should receive ?
Not taking the P at all, this is a true story. Back in the day, prams and pushchairs were not allowed in shops - we all left our children outside - there was no choice and it was not a problem. I have often told my son the story of The Day I Forgot All About Him, it is something we laugh about, believe it or not. Child theft is actually very rare, in those days the trandy tabloid paranoias were different - unmarried mothers, "coloured people" and hippies were the things we were meant to be scared of I think, hard to remember that far back.

You and I will always disagree with regard to this subject, but that's life eh! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and everyone thinks differently. If everyone agreed with what everyone said the world would be a pretty dull place. I think the one thing that we both agree on at the end of the day is that Madeleine is found safe and well.

I speak the truth how I see it but I always bare in mind that my point is valid but I try not to make it too personal on here . I don't know the people asking the questions and usually we don't hear the full story . I tend to answer without being rude as I think opinions carry more weight then .
I do believe though too many people use this word "respect "too often . I don't respect people who neglect their children or people who are racist etc.

People just don't like people who tell it like it is. They want to p*ssy-foot (can't believe I had to star that! How ridiculous!)around controversial topics and just post what they think should be said rather than what they are truly feeling.
So no, I don't think you're sanctimonious at all, you're just not a bullsh*tter. I'm exactly the same.If more people were like you and me, the world would be a much better place because everyone would always know where they stood.
It is always better to be honest and truthful than to be a two-faced liar!

I think the question you are asking are debatable and that is your opinion, My opinion is that you should have a bit of common decency and respect for the friends and Family of Maddy.
Not only could her Cousins, Aunts, Grandparents be on this site so could all the rest of the people in their home town.
All of which aren't looking to point fingers, they are all rooting for this poor little girl.
Of course someone is to blame BUT now is not the time. I will apologise to you for my previous remarks and I have deleted my last question.
Agreed then, you get a star for your balls and openness.

Alright Dave
Everyone has the right to their own opinion and the right to post it on here.
You made a really interesting point on another thread......... what if the Madeleine McCann case does turn out to have a conclusion that most people didn't see coming?? Bet you won't get any apologies!

I actually think you've been a breath of fresh air, you've only said what a great many of us think, but you've done it with a degree of compassion at times and also without the aggression and the insults that a lot of the other users with a point to make have done.

No! you have a point to make and like everyone else you are entitled to make it without the outcry of others trying to enforce censorship on you - I may not always agree with everything said BUT you are entitled to ask -

I think that you have a lot of valid points and you should be able to say what you feel - they are your thoughts. You probably ask the questions that most people are thinking but are not brave enough to relay on here, for fear of rejection or critisism.
