There is way too much division and hatred in the world for this to happen. We should take it to the lowest denominator, the individual, you and I.

I hope one day it will be a reality.

When people were still living in huts without electricity, they would never have thought we would be developed to this state.

When the Christians were being killed in the Coloseum for entertainment, they'd never had imagined one day their descendents would be free to practice their religion.

Same goes for the peoples of colonised countries and even slaves.. Things can change for the better.

Life isn't perfect which is why that song was written. But if more people believe it is possible or a worthwhile cause, it could happen.

I for one believe in it and try to lead my life the best way I know how.

Unlikely. Yes,it is true mankind is selfish and there are loads of as*holes out there who dont care about anyelse. Put anything is possible. Perhaps if the world realized the error of their mistakes, after undergoing a lot of pain. But it would take alot of misery and a whole lot of people dead.
Maybe. But i doubt it. Wherever there is power and money, there is greed and corruption...
But there is also love, which can be more powerful than anything.
You never know.

The song sentimentalizes two of the most problematic and potentially destructive ideologies of modernity: monism and utopianism. These ideologies have been responsible for violence and and oppression. It is difficult to live with difference, pluralism, and the conflicts of finite existence, but when you strip away the veneer of sentiment, trying to create a perfect society where everyone is "one" is ultimately grim and uninteresting.

No. There will never be no countries, no religion. There will never be peace. Men are too territorial. They crave power. As long as they do, they will fight.

We will just have to "imagine" a utopia where everyone gets along...

Never.
Impossible.

It's one of the beautiful songs ever composed, with a good meaning. It's good for dreaming but not for making things real.

Human kind history is full of bad records on this topic, so I don't think that it will ever become real, unfortunately

In my heart I know it can be. It will take love, but everything is possible through the power of love. It creates peace where there is none.
