Every time i do this windows is unable to restore from hibernation

click apply and ok is very important
try it this way

start up options

go to control panel
choose power options
choose never to all listed there
choose apply then choose ok
then choose hibernate
click advanced choose hibernate
then click hibernate
click enable hibernate
make sure you click apply and ok to everything

then you can push power button

windows will close

push button again and you are where you was again

if you want to use shut down option do that
i use hibernate is not as hard on computer
as when it has to reload everything

also check this
check scheduled tasks

do this way
start
control panel
scheduled tasks
check whats there if any thing
or add one if you want to

It may be a glitch in Windows XP x64 bit edition.

If your PC isn't a laptop, turn Hybernate off (in Display Properties > Screensaver > Power...) and let your PC finish the heavy tasks without interruption.

Hi dE,

Go to Control Panel, Power Options, select the Hibernate tab and make sure you have enough hard drive space allocated to allow hibernation.
