im using windows xp in my office network i have 5 computers here. we are using dsl with 2GB data limit i want to keep my computers updated but if every computer update its self automatically it gonna suck all my data limit. is there any way that i could store updates on my server then i could configure the clients to update from there?
p.s. im using xp on my server but i'll switch to windows 2003 server soon.

Depending on how smart you are with computers and networking and your budget, you could buy and build a Microsoft SUS (Software Update Services) or WSUS (Windows Software Update Services). This server is built to update your entire network with updates. You pull all of the latest updates that MS has to offer down to the server. The server will then push the updates to any PC's that is sees on your network. As far as your outlying PC's are concerned it's exactly like a regular windows update. Check out this link:

I think Mike covered the subject already, I would advice on using Small Business 2003 as its a far cheaper solution and easier to maintain for a small business like yours.
