we've left school 4 study leave and all my mates have gone through different paths,im the only 1 going bck 2 school 4 sixth form and im afriad that im goin 2 loose contact with 1 of my bezzies Amy Lee.i know in a couple of years i can go 2 friendsreuonites.com(sox if spelt wrong)and i dnt want 2 loose her as a mate.what can i do?i dnt want 2 force her 2 stay on.and also when im older im moving 2 new york and she's staying in caerphilly.i know that ill write 2 her but we will defo loose contact in years 2 come and i dnt want our friendship 2 be taken away from us.plz help!i know that some ppl have gone thru this already and i want u guys 2 tell me how u got thru it. thnx

Just put the work into the friendship and it can last a long time.

I have been bestfriends with my mate for 11 years now and i moved to England (from Australia) For a while and i found if you are both committed and really value each others friendship you will stay mates forever. Also E-mail is a lot easier than writing to each other as it is faster. Megsie

There is a buddhist theory, that we don't own our friends and family, we only borrow them. That which has been borrowed must be returned.
Unfortunately people do grow apart, and it's not just through leaving school. Many of my friends have started families and gotten married, so they have moved on from me. But I still keep in touch with them. Write, text, email and call your friends. You would be surprised how long you can keep in touch with friends for!
