what u do is:
first u turn 3(2x-1) into 6x -3 by using the distributive law (just in case u need that).
then its 4+6x-3 and then u simplify it by combining the 4 and -3 into 1 so its 6x+1.

4 + 3 (2x - 1)
multiply the 3 by 2x and -1
4 + 3(2x) + 3(-1)
it will give you this
4 + 6x - 3
= 6x + 1

first you have to multiply everything in parenthesis by 3, and then solve as much of the problem as you can:
4 + 6x - 3, then it goes to 6x+1
that's my best guess, but it's been years since I had math, so check your book.

in maths there is one formula:
B O D M A S
B:brackets
O:of
D:division
M:multiplication
A:addition
S:subtraction
in this sum u have to solve brackets first according to bodmas
so,
(2x-1)=-2[since - x + =-]
then we wil solve wat is outside the bracket =4+3=7
so the answer is -14
