iexplorer.exe is not a virus.
Do you have two separate sessions open?
If you are saying that when you start your computer 2 sessions automatically start then check whether they are being launched in your startup config.

Start->Run and type: msconfig
click on the Startup tab.

IEXPLORE.EXE
http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/iexplore/

iexplore.exe is the main executable for Microsoft Internet Explorer. This Microsoft Windows application allows you to surf the world wide web and the Internet. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.

Note: iexplore.exe is also a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

Determining whether iexplore.exe is a virus or a legitimate Windows process depends on the directory location it executes or runs from.

LEXPLORE.EXE
With lowercase L, lEXPLORE.EXE always uses lowercase to look like the legitamate process.

Description:
lexplore.exe is registered as the SODABOT VIRUS!and should be removed immediately. This virus creates a backdoor on your computer which allows hijackers to take control.

Recommendation for lexplore.exe:
DISABLE AND REMOVE lexplore.exe IMMEDIATELY.

you can close iexplore.exe using Task Manager or sysinternals software(i don't remember the name). Get it by googling. Also, you can get a free online scan of your system using some online virus scanners such as trendMicro's.
