You get the thumbs down for answering a question, just because it's not what they want to hear?
Even when your giving an honest and open opinion.

Yeah i do , i don't give people the thumbs down cause i don't agree with them the only time i do it is when someone is being nasty for the sake of it.

No, what have you lost either way ??
If everyone went through every question & thumbs downed every one of them, everytime they didn't get the answer they were looking for..... who would really lose in the end ??
The point of this is to share info, & that was achieved because the question was answered. If someone is going to be that much of a fuddy duddy & nit picker regarding the whole scheme, then they are the only losers. Someone still got their points, questions were still answered, & someone still got to whine & b*tch about it by thumbing down.
So, everyone still walked away a winner !!!!!

I think its not always the questioner that gives the thumbs down but other answerers who want to make their answer look better.

I mean I give a 'thumb down' when someone's opinion is off-topic or rude, not if I simply don't like it, because it's different than mine!
I get annoyed when I just say my mind and someone gives a 'thumb down' because my opinion is different.

Yes I do and someone seems to be on here anyway giving me all kinds of thumbs downs because I'm getting a ton of them now.

no - i try to give decent replies, but i dont take it personally if i get thumbs down. If i got like 30 i'd be thinking wow did i say something to offend someone there? but generally i just shrug it off or dont even notice!

Yep, just shows how sad some people are. They give you the thumbs down and it makes them feel all smug and superior. Idiots, they want to control peoples opinions the little freaks!

yes or when i get one star for a page long best answers
or even worse when they hide your answer along with all the others they dont want to hear ,even if they are good answers but differ from what the asker wants to hear,
that should be done away with
