I don't think anyone is denies that Al Qaida is in Iraq NOW. But with the glaring exception of yourself and others ignorant on the subject, Al Qaida wasn't in Iraq while Saddam was in power.

Non-violent diplomacy worked for Ghandi, and non-violent diplomacy can work for us as well.

al qaida intends to sit low until the democrats(socialists) in congress prevail and pull us out prematurely, then they will takeover the state of Iraq and use it as a launching base for worldwide terrorism, and they will seek nuclear capability and when the have the weapons you can say goodbye to NYC or LA

Al Qaeda is in Iraq because we opened the door. We created a self-fulfilling prophecy by invading Iraq, disbanding Saddam's army, letting go of the entire infrastructure (with the exception of the Oil Ministry), and allowing all of the munitions to be unsecured and freely traded among the people.

It is a fact that Saddam would not have had any dealing with a fundamentalist group like Al Qaeda. As much a murderer as he was, he would never have dealt with a group that could potentially threaten his own power.

No, this is an insurgent group that formed after the US invasion and which became an Al Qaeda during the US occupation. All 16 US intelligence agencies agree that the war on Iraq has increased terrorism. In other words, the US presence in Iraq is counter productive.

The army needs to rescue the soldiers and kill and capture those responsible. Then we need an orderly withdrawal so that the army, marines and national guard can protect our homeland..

Al Qaeda NEVER had training camps in Iraq under Saddam. Bin Laden thought Saddam was an idiot and wanted little or nothing to do with him.

Besides, what really matters is that Al Q is in Iraq now.

I think Bush screwed this up from the git-go and it would be in our best interest to TEMPORARILY pull out now.

Once we've pulled out, President Stony would do the following:

Create mandatory national service for all citizens from the age of 18 until the age of 21. ALL 18 y.o. citizens would be required to go through a boot camp of their choice. Afterward those wishing to complete their 3 years of service to their country in their local police force, or helping out in VA hospitals, or building bridges & roads, etc, could do so. They wouldn't be paid as much, of course, as those who chose to join one of the branches of the military.

Contact all European powers to re-establish and renew diplomatic ties. Get their support for a combined effort in a war against ALL nations who support terror. An ambiguous "War on Terror" is simply nothing short of stupid. 16 of 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia and on September 12th, we should have been declaring war on Saudi, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

Get the the Chinese and Russians to support the war and agree to share oil revenues with them when it's over.

In addition to enforcing immigration laws already on the books, I would push congress to pass legislation imposing a minimum fine of $10,000 and 1 year in jail for anyone caught employing or housing an illegal immigrant. Illegals found in this country will be given a choice: 10 years hard labor, or 10 years military service. An honorable discharge will get them citizenship.

Pass legislation requiring all cars in the USA be built to get 50 mpg. That would enable us to stop buying Arab oil which would greatly affect their economy and their ability to wage war.

As soon as the next terrorist attack happens, perhaps in a year or two, have agreements with Europe, China, Russia and Australia to go into the Middle East with 4-5 MILLION TROOPS.

This may seem harsh. And it's fair to say that America hasn't always treated the Arab nations honorably. However, these fanatics will not stop until America and Israel are completely wiped off the face of the Earth. So we simply have no choice.

We need to prepare for World War 3 because it's coming. If we prepare for it, we will win. If not, we won't. Having our ridiculously small army stressed out from exhaustion as we do now, thank you Dummy & Rummy, isn't preparation it's suicide.

It doesn't prove it to the liberals and it doesn't prove it to the conservatives. Al Qaida was not in Iraq before we went there and bombed them back to the stone age. They have the right to fight for their country any way they can, not having the resources the US has. Since we now know Bush and Chaney and stealing $15,000,000 daily in addition to the payments to Halliburton you should begin to get a clue as to why we are in this non-winnable, illegal and immoral war.
