I will stick with Virgin Media cable for TV,phone and broadband.Overall I think it's cheaper for the whole package. I don't have to have a dish on my roof. It was free installation when I upgraded the TV to digital and added Broadband, which I get a discount for the first year.Apart from about 4 Sky programmes that have been withdrawn from Virgin(and which I never watched anyway)there are all the programmes I want to see.I can still get my Sports channels and some cable channels that are not on Sky. I honestly can't see what I would gain from changing to Sky.

I've had both; I would say Sky is better value for money but cable is better in terms of there being no possibility of signal interference or your dish getting blown out of position in a storm (which has happened to me twice now!).

I've only had SKY once in my lifetime, and everything was censored. I don't mean porn because I don't watch that, but regular music channels. A lot of the service was like basic cable.

i got virgin media better for me because if i wanted sky i would have had to pay bt 126 pounds to get a landline and then pay to get connected to sky and who wants an ugly dish on the side of their house. anyway virgin media i have broadband, the large t.v package with all sky sports and all movie channels for 51 pound a month and i only paid a fiver for connection cos i got 20 pounds discount for ordering on-line

Dunno. I quite like sky, but it does cut out in really bad weather. We don't have a choice since they never bothered laying cable where I live, despite the fact it's in London and they've done my mate's street and she only lives five minutes away. Muppets.
