Yes, I do... I want to create a true hybrid car. For simplicity, well base it on the Toyota Prius. I would be shooting for 150 miles per gallon. Here is how you do it: Build the body out of aluminum and titanium and carbon fiber. These are all very light. Titanium for the center framework surrounding the occupants and carbon fiber for the center body and door panals. The front and back use aluminum as it is softer and acts as a crumple zone or cushion in a crash. Instead of one breifcase sised NIMH battery, let's go with 5 of them. To make room we reduce the fuel tank from 12 to 5 gallons. We hook up t trickle/quick charger to the battery system that can be plugged in for pre-trip top off. Two large photovolteic cells are installed on the roof and hood wired into the trickle/quick charger. These cannote sustain the car on therir own but extend range by delaying battery discharge. These also are constantly recharging your ride even while you are at work or shopping. instead of a 1.5 liter gas engine, we will use an ultra efficient .8 liter deisel. It will not be linked directly to the drive train but to a generator that feeds the batteries and an AC unit. An electric moter drives the car coupled with a super light CVT transmission (no heavy gears). A regenerative brake system recharges the batteries during slow stops. When you lightly apply the brake pedel, a switch reverses polarity in the moter turning it into a generator while slowly stopping the car. In faster or panic stops the standard brakes are engaged as you press on the peddle harder. The deisel engine would run at 1500 rpm automatically if the bottery was at 60% or lower and 3000rpm when the batteries reached 15%. 3000 rpm would limp the car in at about 20-30 mph in the event you run your battery down to 0%. A manual override would allow charging at your whim if you were concerned and driving long distances.

So what we end up with is a car with three sources of power generation that will be like a regular car at first glance inside and out. It would just get much better milage that anything out there today. It would cost 3X a normal car, but you save that in fuel cost and then some.

When do should we get together and build it? jason

For a start, i'm not transsexual, so my answer is mainly from what i've observed around me .. Alright, i think that the terms "masculine" and "feminine" are out of place in your question.. Because eventually those adjectives are made up by societies.. It's not the body that makes the person be either one, it's the way the person dresses, the way they talk/walk, the way they behave.. it's more about how the person acts and not what they look like, that's what i've noticed.. For example, being strong is a masculine trait ( i don't agree of that , but society says so ) and being emotional and crying is a feminine trait .. From what i've seen, FtMs are pretty masculine to me, but the boobs seem to be the reason why society keeps addressing these males as females.. But the pursuit of surgery is for personal reasons, simply because they want to feel like themselves in their bodies, they want the outside to match the inside.. Firstly it's about their eyes seeing themselves on the outside as they've alwayz seen themselves in the inside, and secondly it's about society finally accepting them as they are and using the right pronouns and such stuff..
