as a 25 year Bear fan, I would greet Bret with wide open arms and sit Grossman. He can help us beat the evil Packers, but am I dreaming???

There is no way that Bret is going to be traded, not for the fact he doesn't want it, but for the fact Green Bay won't allow for a trade. They want him to retire in green and yellow. Also a division rival is the last place they would ship favre. Bret Favre would retire but he would much rather go for the record. Also with all due respect to Favre he would make the same mistakes Grossman would, he would try fitting the ball into places that it shouldn't. He would still create TOs for the offense.

I don't think Brett Favre will ever be a Chicago Bear. If Green Bay trades Favre, then they would trade him to an AFC team such as Kansas City or Miami. Chances are that an NFC team won't land the Iron Man, espically not the Packers arch rival the Bears. If the Bears made Green Bay an offer they couldn't refuse, such as a 2007 First Round Pick, a 2007 Second Round Pick and a 2008 First Round pick for Favre, there won't be in Chicago.

there is no way favre will be traded hes spent his whole career on the packers, and now when hes old and shot out he asks for a trade just because the packers didn't get a flashy player such as randy moss? So no even though grossman plays like Helen Keller dont be expecting number 4 to start for the bears anytime soon

Yeah, you're dreaming. Given it would never happen that the Packers would trade Favre. Even if he demanded it. But if it did, they wouldn't trade him to a division rival. That would be stupid. It would be interesting to see him on the Bears. Given they're a defensive team which got them to a Super Bowl, but he seems to get upset when his own team is building their defense up for the same strategy. The Packers have a better receiving corp than Chicago so he'd probably cry even more.

I don't think Green Bay will trade Favre.

HOWEVER, if I were Favre, I'd be ticked off about the lack of respect he's gotten for what seems to be the last couple of seasons. He's given his heart and soul to that team, and he even offered to give up part of his salary to get Moss in there, so money wouldn't be an issue, and they still wouldn't do it. They could have tried for Jackson, didn't do that either.

Favre has every right to vent, and frankly he should retire, spend a year working out and then sign with whoever he wants. I guarantee every team out there would be willing to sign Brett Favre. Green Bay doesn't deserve him.

If they agree to trade favre, then you have to say this is a possibility since this is one of the few teams that could use a QB. The only places I can see him getting traded to are the following:
Bears
Vikings
Dolphins
Redskins
Buccs

I suppose if Jim McMahon can become a Packer, Favre can become a Bear.

Favre is not going anywhere. Its just that time of year, between the draft and camp where Brett says HEY LOOK AT ME IM STILL IMPORTANT. The Packers will tell him they still love him and he will be happy and shut up.

that's quite achieveable, i do no longer have faith the Packers might ever enable it. yet they could be forced in to permitting it. It additionally would possibly no longer take place by fact Favre stated he needs to bypass to a contender. in all probability the Vikings over the Bears.

There is always a chance that he could be traded to the bears, but odds are he won't be traded, and even less likely to a division rival.

There is probably about a less than 5% chance of it happening.
