Yes. Professors still lecture and students take exams, even though we know from studies done in psychology that lecturing is the LEAST effective way to teach and to learn. But on and on we go. Colleges and universities.make money on lecture courses. Just think of 300+ students piled in to a huge lecture hall to be taught psychology (for example) through lectures where the professor speaks, the students take notes, and there is no time or opportunity to ask questions or to discuss ideas. Real learning experience!! NOT. But it is a money maker for the school.
