Splendid surprise question, and more surprisingly,
some seriously accurate answers.
Honestly'd never thought of it before, but yeah--
that's HOW good Lithgow is--it sneaks up on you.
That's craftsmanship.
Yet, Hackman is just so suave-gritty, and more believeable.
Occasionally, you can spot the method, or formula, from
John.
With Gene, he has become the part. Three particular faves are "The Conversation," "Under Suspicion" (with a coasting performance by the unbeatable Morgan Freeman, and "Enemy of the State." Effin' great!
