I know he scored a decent 50 against a 3rd tier cricket team in Bangladesh but doesn't his attitude, poise and the way he plays his innigs remind you of a very very young Rahul Dravid?

Is he going to be the next "wall"?

The fact is that many players in our team have the potential to become a great player. But they don't use it for the best. If they had, India would have been better the the Australians.

Dinesh Karthik has the ability to rescue the team from dire straits. Being an new player, he is working with full commitment. Let us wait and see whether he can retain it - which is what has made Dravid a respected member of the team.

c. i don't understand the hue & cry over dropping Dravid. there are maximum of infants waiting interior the wing to tutor themselves. we'd desire to look into the destiny the place Dravid is now not an option. He has already completed India proud maximum of cases, enable others additionally get carry of a brilliant gamble to do an identical. i think of Dravid alongside with Sachin and Ganguly could retire from cricket voluntarily on an identical time as the going remains stable and thereby supply infants a brilliant gamble, quite than be thrown out of the group disgracefully. so some distance as Dinesh Karthik is in contact he could get carry of greater opportunities

He is ok, he has a long way to go to catch up with Dravid. I noticed in the beginning of his partnership with Dravid in the first match, he was very nervous & didn't seem to have composure in the situation (compare this with Ravi Bopara of England). He nearly cost India an easy wicket (run-out) at least 3 times in that innings

Dinesh Karthik has started his international carreer just recently. While he is showing lot of promise, it is too early to compare him with Rahul Dravid too early.

No.The same thing was made out of M S Dhoni. He was hailed as the next big thing. And he didn't perform that well, did he?
So it would be better to wait and watch Karthink before jumping to conclusions.
