Advanced maternal age (which is considered 35 and older) is at a higher risk for chromosomal abnormalities, such as Down Syndrome. There are studies being conducted now that are looking into the risks associated with advanced paternal age, but nothing really striking so far.
Having said this... perfectly healthy babies are born to couples in their 30s and 40s, conversely, there are 20something couples who have babies born with birth defects. My friend was 19 when she had a son born with mental retardation. It's all a chance thing and the chances go up with age--but that's not a guarantee something bad is going to happen.
You're 35, your wife is 32... you're a young couple for all intents and purposes. Assuming there are no OBVIOUS physical issues that need to be addressed first, I would say just start trying.
Remember this though... in any given month, a couple only has a 25% chance of actually conceiving. The average couple can take up to a year to get pregnant. So if it doesn't happen right away, don't get discouraged. Fertility specialists won't even see you until you've been trying for a year (unless you're advanced maternal age or you've been diagnosed with a fertility-related issue). The point is... one couple may get pregnant on the first try, another couple may take several tries...both couples are considered normal.
There's tons of stuff on the Internet about ovulating and conceiving that you will find useful if you need it. Have fun and try not to let it run your life. That might sound harsh now, but believe me after a few months of trying you will know more what I mean :)
Good luck!

Mens fertility does decline after 35 but not as dramatic as a womans. Your wife is still in the OK range for pregnancy - but to dispel any fears you have visit a doctor or fertility specialist. Infertility issues occur equally with men and women so both of you getting checked out is a good thing.

Nope. My dad was 61 and mom was 33 and I turned out great. They say that for a woman its best to have children before 35 because the risk of birth defects rises after that age. Men constantly produce sperm, so there sperm doesn't get old like woman's eggs do.

there is always risk. I think you both should see a doctor and decide what is best for you. They typically say that having a child before 40 is best. so theoretically you should be in the clear.. but things do go wrong. I think ask the drs though.. and if you don't like what one says.. don't be afraid to get a second opinion

Suggst she see an ob-gyn. There's always some risk, but let's be sure. I'd recommend this for any woman regardless of age.
Err on the side of safety.

Always risks involved but you're still very young.
If you Google it you'll see that people are having kids well into their 60's now. So thirtysomething is nothing.
Discuss it with your family doctor.
