What do women want?

Question

I can't speak for folks in any other countries, because I have never been there, but folks in the United States generally assume women have it all: education, job opportunities, birth control, love control, financial freedom, and a better chance of success than men. But women still lack the essential freedom — equality — they lacked a century ago. Women are minorities in every sector of our government and economy, and women are still expected to raise families while at the same time earning incomes that are comparably lower than what males earn, usually for doing the same exact job. And in our culture, women are still depicted as bimbos & bloodsuckers by advertisers to sell everything from computers to cars.

Will it take another century or another millenium before the biological differences between men and women are taken as a carte blanche justification for the unequal treatment of women?

You're to deep babe most of us want just what we were created for: Adam, and to be well provided for. when god created eve she came into the world with everything she could ever want or need already waiting for her-a husband a home and provisions etc. those things are at the basis of every woman wether she wants to admit it or not-we just use all that other stuff to take the place of that when we don't have it or don't have it the way we think we should or to feel in the gaps when we think we want more.

It would sure be great if we stopped being catty and petty
with each other! I think drama among females holds us
back in all areas,frankly.

I saw much more sabotage and grudge holding in grad
school and in my career than I ever thought possible.

Give us enough rope and the men don't have to do a thing,

You were right the first time: women do have it all in America today. Let’s give our fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons some credit for all they do to keep us free at home and on the battlefield. What do women want? I think most women want whining like yours to stop. There’s a reason “feminist” is now a dirty word.

I completely agree with you, women are still minorities in this country, we are always pushed to climb that corporate latter and more times than not, succeed, but in our government; women are not seen as "capable" to do the same job as men could. There are not many women in office today, becuase the idea of a women "running the country" scares some people...even women don't think other women are capable of succeeding in our government...Women are still expected to be a "Suzy homemaker" as well as make do in the economy...It seems that we have come a long way from where we were 80 years ago; being able to vote...women in businesses...I honestly don't think that there will be a women president for many many years, if other women can't expect there own kind to succeed in the government, there isn't much hope of doing so...I think women have a lot of things in this world, I just think that as much as our society thinks that we are equal...we really are not....I just think women want a chance to be able to show the world that they are capable of doing anything....

as long as the values, beliefs, customs, cultural practices and RELIGION exists.... gender inequality will continue.

in one hand women are not fighting hard enough, and sometimes women are not even aware of the inequality treatment, they think its only fair to be treated unequally because they are women.

plus we can't fight it alone, we need the support of the men too, they must realize that its time that women are treated equally and help us fight the battle.
