The answer is 4 digit hence A and H are greater than 3 and 4
87 x 78 = 6786

Note that the ones digit of AH is T, and that the tens digit of AH is T, T-1, or T-2. The ones digit of AH is also within 2 of H itself. This leads us to consider the product 7*8=56, and the answer 87*78 = 6786.
