I don't think it's the stature, it's the person. I have met all sizes and I think that it's true that some short people could be this way, but there are also some tall people that have not had a very nice personality too. The shorter people will never be able to carry off looking good with a 20 extra pounds. Clothes show so much better on somebody that is tall. Be proud, be secure and ignore the "small-minded" and petty remarks. They have isssues, be glad you don't.

You're silly. Not all short people are fat. I'm 5'7 and 135 pounds. My wife is 5'nothing and 100 pounds.
If you think I "get quiet" when tall people enter the room, then you obviously don't know me. I'm a street evangelist. I talk about Jesus to the toughest crowds. Go to http://www.bikercell.com to see what I mean. I preach on the street without amplification over the traffic noise and noise of the crowd. That's not quiet.
The funny thing is that, when I hear or read myself described, people usually add quite a bit to my height. Sometimes even 6 feet tho I'm actually pretty short.
Maybe you are the same way. You see all quiet people as short and all outgoing people as tall. Maybe not. But it is hard to make sense of your (untrue) stereotype otherwise.

wow re-read your question. Why do you hate short people? I have never experienced what you stated above.
The part about short people being fat is because even though they are adults they cannot eat as many calories as a tall person, and it's tough to eat less than everyone else.
I think most of the entire U.S. is fat, not just the short.
Short people get asked all the height and weight questions, just like tall people do. A short person must have hurt your feelings. Don't let it get to you.

That sucks that you've had that happen to you by people...but honestly, don't you think that you are stereotyping just like those people you've come across? now that you have done this...what makes you any different or better than they are?
I'm a pretty short girl, almost 5'3, and I have no problems with tall girls. In fact I have many many tall girlfriends. I know that it is an insecurity issue with a few of them( they feel awkward and too visible, which in my opinion is not true) ...but I can honestly say that it has never bothered me, and I've never thought badly of them or in disgust, not even to myself. And I've never been insecure, jealous and intimidated, and i've got no reason to lie about that. i have a couple of taller friends that like to joke with me about our height differences, like they call me shorty and munchkin and a freak, and I call them giants and freaks...but its all out of love and we are laughing warmly as we say it.
so, no I've personally never ever seen a shorter person get quiet when a tall person walks into a room or make hatefull statements..etc. So you are generalizing about all short people and thats as bad as people generalizing about tall people.
Thats just not cool. you can say that "the experiences that you have personally had with some/a few/various shorter people has been that...etc." but to say that ALL short people are like this? thats plainly an overstatment and a lie.
by the way...what does AIDS have to do with height? thats a crazy statement to make.
oh and also...most shorter people I know are in no way fat, just like not all taller people all thin. So thats a false statement.
Also.. I know a few short girls who are models. granted that they can never be runway models, but they do print work and 2 of them especially are very very successful.

Sounds like you've got some pretty mean little people hanging out around you. I've got a family full of short people, and they are the kindest most generous people I've met. As a matter of fact, I don't think I've EVER heard a short person come down on someone for being tall. That's new to me.

Wow, kinda hostile dont you think? I'm short for a guy - 5'7", and thin too. I can say 100% I am quite comfortable with my height. There's nothing I can do to change it, and I'm not unattractive or unhealthy which I think would suck. I have nothing against tall people - I think it would be pretty immature to judge somebody on something like that. I guess I'm envious of guys that are stronger or have more muscle than me, or are really good with the ladies but I think that's normal and I don't dislike them because of that.

I do not think that short people are insecure, jealous or feel intimidated by tall people. But I know that most tall people discriminate against short people, and that is very wrong.

Excuse me? It is NOT because of their height. I am not jealous of anyone, I am content with myself, and tall people do not intimidate me. I like tall people! So STOP HATIN'!

I think you have that ALL wrong! I'm not but 4'11" and it takes ALOT to intimidated me, someone being taller than me has nothing to do with that! Also, I'm not fat at all! I'm not jealous of tall people either. Why should I be? They only have longer legs! So what?
What is wrong with you?
