No.

There is something about the end of the Mayan calendar on that date (winter solstice--shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere, longest in the southern).

But I wouldn't give it any mind. End of world predictions are a dime a dozen. There are natural disasters, ends of local communities--sometimes nation states. Entire civilizations have come and gone. Then there are the things we do to ourselves--waging war, polluting our environment. But unless we come up with some really creative way of destroying the earth, our species is not likely to end any time soon. We're a pretty clever bunch.

I take my cue from REM--"It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine."

I wasn't planing on it, but I'm not going to tell you what to do. If there is someting bothering you, you still have a few years to do something about it, I recommend not giving up yet. You might find therapy useful.

If you are talking about the Mayan calender thing, I was sort of counting on space aliens rescuing me before then.

I can 100% guarantee that we will not ALL die that day, because many people will die sooner. In the next 5 years many millions of people will die.

I think we are in for some big changes. I don't think it will be the end of the world. Just the end of the world as we know it and perhaps the end of this existence for a larger number of people than the average of any other given day.

I don't think so, unless there is an asteroid in the earth's way. IF there was an asteroid, some observers would have reported it. But all we can do may be to blow it up or deflect the asteroid.
