I tried vista on a friends computer i dont know i didnt like all the new features some of them were just to complex and they have to many firewalls and stuff the bugs still arent fixed so it declines allot of 3rd party software. i love xp simple to use very straight forward decent features.

From what I have experienced, XP is far better. Vista is a hardware hog, requiring a lot of memory and a fast processor. A higher performing computer costs so much more.
Vista seems to be the anti-productivity OS. It stops to ask permission every two seconds. Besides, a big project needs several months of debugging before it is not absolute crap.

XP. Windows Vista is still too new. I'm waiting for the service packs to come in before I ugrade.

easily XP is extra responsive than Vista yet regardless of the undeniable fact that Vista is catching up with the launch of sp1, that is not there yet !. you desire to to evaluate getting XP sp3.

I still use my 98SE. I don't trust these clowns. They make it so we have to purchase updates our computers more often than buying a vacation.
