Hello!
Am glad you asked!!
First of all, you know the Sabbath day is part of the Ten Commandments, the Moral Law of God (notice, it's not the same as ceremonial law; there's a disctintion between God's Law and the law of Moses. We won't get into it right now, but anyone may email me for more information). Just with that principle in mind, then the Sabbath is as eternal as the Ten Commandments, since it's part of it. Let's keep this in mind: to talk about the Ten Commandment Law means to talk about the Sabbath day as well.
I'd like to clarify one point, was the Sabbath day observed before Mt. Sinai?
The Bible says in 1 John 3:4, "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." (KJV), and Paul says that where there's not Law, there's not sin, because sin cannot be commited when there's not Law to brake. So if sin existed already since Adam and Eve fell, then the Ten Commandment Law existed already, and thus the fourth Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11). (Or commiting adultery, murdering, stealing, became sins just after the Law was given at Mt. Sinai?... hmm, think about it).
God said that Abraham kept His Law: << because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” >> (Genesis 26:5; NKJV).
The Scripture says, << Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. >> (Gen. 2:1-3). Let's focus on the word "sanctified", what does it mean? If you click on the following link (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sanctification), you'll see that the definition of sanctify is: "to make holy; set apart as sacred; consecrate". I believe God set the Sabbath day apart from the other 6 days because He wanted to spend quality time with His children. He didn't wait until Mt. Sinai to make His Sabbath known to humanity, no. (Besides, the Commandment says "Remember" (Ex. 20:8); read Exodus 16, how the Sabbath and God's Commandments existed already, and God expected His children to observe them, even before the Law was given on stone at Mt. Sinai). He finishes creating His children on friday, and what does He do next? He sets a day apart right the next day after He finished His creation (the 7th day) to meet personally with Adam and Eve. That has been the purpose of the Sabbath day always. It's not all about --as some people think-- "don't to this", "don't do that"; no! it's a joyful day for the child of God because he/she meets with his/her Creator (Isaiah 58:13-14; you may read also chapter 56). That's the purpose of the whole Seventh day.
"which day is the correct seventh Sabbath day?
saturday or sunday and please give reason"
Going straight to your question, there's a simple reason: You'll find the word seventh-day Sabbath as the Lord's day through the Bible, while sunday or first day (because neither the words sunday nor saturday will appear in the Scriptures, but rather seventh-day or Sabbath [saturday] and first day [sunday]) does not appear as a holy day. I've read the expression "Son-day" to say sunday, because Jesus rose on sunday, but Christ never said His resurrection changed the Sabbath day. The Sabbath day is so important for God that He wrote it on stone (and gave it twice --Ex. 20 and Deut. 5--), and put it into the Ark of the Covenant (Ex. 40:20) while the law of Moses was put "beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God" (Deut. 31:26; NKJV). Do you thing that if the Sabbath day was changed by the resurrection of Jesus, He had said so, since it's something so important for God? But the Lord didn't say anything about it. Would He just leave it in mystery? "Oh, let's see when they are going to find out", is that the way God works? Do we forget the Scripture which says, "Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets." (Amos 3:7)?
Neither the apostles said anything about a change on the Sabbath day, just the opposite, they kept the Sabbath day (Acts 17:2; 13:13-14, 42-44; 16:13; 18:4)
Is the Sabbath for the Jews only?
No. Look up the evidence: It was given at the end of Creation week (Gen. 2:1-3), 2,000 years before there were any Jew (it is like saying that marriage and work --two institutions given along with the Sabbath when everything was perfect, before sin entered in the world -- were given to Jews only); there were only two human beings back then, that's why Jesus said, "The Sabbath was made for man" (Mark 2:27). God calls it "the Sabbath of the LORD your God" (Exodus 20:10, see also verses 8-11; Isaiah 58:13-14; Mark 2:28), not the Sabbath of the Jews. The Scriptures give evidence that not only the Jews observed it, but the Gentiles too (Isaiah 56). Let's read Acts 13:42-44:
<< So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God. >> (NKJV).
This Scripture says that the Jews had left already, but the Gentiles remained and asked Paul to preach them the next Sabbath. Verse 14 tells us that day was Sabbath, and if Paul were preaching that Sabbath because of the Jews (as some people assume) it was a good oportunity for Paul to tell the Gentiles: "Oh, the Jews left already; so let us gather tomorrow sunday". Is that what Paul said? No, in fact, read verse 44, where it says that the next Sabbath "almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God". Instead of setting another day to gather, he agreed to meet them next Sabbath since it's the perfect day to gather and worship God. Paul believed in the holiness of the Seventh-day Sabbath. In fact, Luke could have written about the Sabbath as done away with (if it were so), since he wrote the book of Acts (and the Gospel of Luke too), and Luke was a gentile. It was a good opportunity for Luke to say, "the old Sabbath", or "the Sabbath of Jews, now we, Gentiles, worship on the first day of the week, the 'Lord's day' "; but he never wrote that. He always took the Sabbath as holy, and assumed the readers knew that already. All the Bible writters assumed that the validity of the Ten Commandments and the Sabbath day were known by the readers, since it's taught in the Scriptures of the Old Testament, the same Scriptures --according to the inspired writtings of Paul-- were inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16-17); and not only Paul, but Peter also wrote about the inspiration of Bible prophecy (2 Peter 1:19-21).
Did Jesus keep the Sabbath day?
"So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read." (Luke 4:16; NKJV)
The Apostles believed in the eternity of the Ten Commandments: Romans 6:14,15; 3:31; 3:20; 7:7; James 1:23-25; Ephesians 6:1-3; 1 John 3:4. Just to mention some texts. (The Law was never intended to save the sinners; rather it is like a mirror which tells us our condion and our need for a Savior (James 1:23-25; Romans 3:20; 7:7), and it is for our happiness (Proverbs 29:18; 3:1,2).
In fact --getting back to the question about whether Jesus changed the Sabbath day by His resurrection-- He made it clear that He didn't come to abolish the Law (and thus the fourth Commandment) but to fullfil (Matthew 5:17-18; Luke 16:17; Isaiah 42:21). Christ also said, << “If you love Me, keep My commandments. >> (John 14:15; NKJV)
Will the Sabbath day be kept in Heaven?
<< “ For as the new heavens and the new earth
Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the LORD, “ So shall your descendants and your name remain. And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the LORD. >> (Isaiah 66:22-23)

(am sure you'll find anything you wanted to know about the Sabbath day, from history to Bible evidence)
I'd like to confess that it's not my intention to offend anyone. I recognize this issue about the Ten Commandments and the Sabbath is very controversial, but it's something God wants us to know about without discussing, but instead, teaching it with tact, empathy, and care (we need, as in anything else, God's help to do it). Every teaching must be compared with the Word of God, and whether the Sabbath day is saturday or sunday, that's something the Scripture reveals, and is opened to anyone who wants to learn with the Holy Spirit's aid and an open mind. I invite you to search in the Bible by yourself, but don't forget to pray about it before you open the Scriptures. If you ask God for guidance to learn His will, He'll help you; and am sure because He's helped so many people already. The Sabbath truth, a Bible principle many people ignore about, can be taught by the Holy Spirit to all of those who seek to serve the Lord with sincere hearts. God has faithful children who don't know about the Sabbath truth yet, but someday it will be taught to them, and they will embrace this wonderful truth if they really love their Creator (John 14:15).
