I don't wear a bra when i sleep. It's uncomfortable. And why the hell would you need support when you're sleeping!??!?!
Does your friend run marathons in her bed?...Definitely untrue.

Not necessarily. The shape of your boobs is pretty much born that way. I don't think you HAVE to wear a bra during your sleep it's not like your boobs will fall off and run away if you don't. Altho if your boobs are over cup C, you should wear a bra during the day for support or they might sag earlier.

Part of the natural support system for your breasts are something call Cooper's ligaments. As you age (40's or later), they may begin to stretch a bit, and your breasts might sag somewhat. There is nothing that anyone can do about this , short of surgical mutilation. And this is no reason to be mutilating your body.
Is it really worth the restrictions of sleeping in a bra? UGH!!

You don't have to wear a bra when you sleep. A bra could make sleeping more comfortable if you're large busted, but if you're not large busted, it's not a problem. It's important that you work on those chest muscles (the pectorals) that help support your breasts if you want to keep them perky.

Yes, wearing a bra helps when you sleep. It's because otherwise your breasts kind of fall to the sides and gravity still pulls them down. I look better in my forties than some of my friends looked in their 20s, because I wear a bra all the time, except when I shower.

it is not necessary to sleep in a bra unless for some reason a doctor has recommended it, such as post removal of a tumor. Take it off and be comfortable!

I would say no, it is not necessary UNLESS you are of such a great size that it is a help to you to wear one. Support is necessary unless you are an A cup, because gravity does pull down when standing or sitting.
