I've never been comfortable with black men dating white women. The part of the county I grew up in I never even met or talked with a black man until I was in my late teens. Not that I wouldn't there just wasn't any around. I have no problem with it being the other way around. white men and black women, or any other inner racial relationship. Now I have friends (black men with white women) who are married and dating and I don't seem to be bothered by it at all. It's just with strangers that I seem to be bothered by. And then there is porn lol Not a big fan of it now but when I was a kid seeing a black man and a white woman together having sex was just a horrible thought. And no it wasn’t a size issue! I have no idea why. Am I a racist and if so how can I change the way I think? I preach against racism…am I a hypocrite?

I wouldn't consider you a racist. Some people are just sensitive when it comes to mixed relationships. I personally could care less, but I was raised around many different cultures. Just remember that no matter what color they are, they are people. People fall in love, have babies, breakups, and whatever else. When you think about it, it's nice that these people in mixed relationships can truly look past the color issue and just see one another for what they really are. :)

Sorry to say, but your are racist. Mild kinds, that is. Every human have different preference and mindset, which influence the way human look and perceive every object or scenario differently. Maybe there is something that is inserted into your mind that cause you to think like that. Even the small thing like the ideas of contrast between black and white (in the term of art color, not skin's) can make you feel that a black men and white woman don't belongs together.
Don't worry. Most of the human on the earth, including myself, are typical hypocrites at different stages. First, easy to say than done, try to ponder about WHAT is exactly cause you to become I that. Yes, I know that is the reason that you ask the question in the first place. However, it is necessary because I don't know what had happen in your lifespan from the beginning. It may be one event or more that cause you to become like that.
Secondly, you can find psychologist to help you out to understand more of yourself. That way, you will able to solve that problem easily.
Hope this help.

Sure you're a hypocrite.. you're human. No big deal. Being conscious of it is a major first step.
Particularly the fact that you note that it's just strangers and that you don't mind interracial relationships when you know the parties involved.
I've always held that racism, homophobia, and religious intolerance don't hold up when you meet a member of that group, and you find out that they're just folks like everyone else.
So all you really need to do is generalize from couples you know to those that you don't know.

Yes, you are a hypocrite. As soon as you said it was ok one way, but not another. Maybe you see white women as some paragon of virtue that you need to protect or something, I don't know. I don't think you can change the way you think about it. If you aren't going out and starting fights over it, don't worry about it. Everyone's a hypocrite. Everyone.

In my opinion this has to be a sub-concious issue. It's engrained in the mind. Maybe a disturbing encounter when younger? Bad experience? It could be a myriad of things. I mean if you go as far as saying you preach against racism. Then I suggest you see a psychologist to dig into the depths of your mind to find out the cause of your discomfort.

You definitely have double standards. You could even be called a chauvinist since you feel only caucasian males should have "the black experience". You are a hypocrite and quite typical.

It's a question of one's culture. You were brought up to feel that way, but now that you have expanded your whereabouts you feel differently. However, you have relapses back into your childhood and then you feel like you did at the moment.
