Type writer. And there has to be lotsa salt, because I am a fatty.

I do both too.... I like corn on the cob plain... no salt, no butter... but both those things certainly don't ruin it.
One time on M*A*S*H, the padre got some ears of corn and everyone was looking forward to eating corn on the cob for July 4th. When the good Father gets up to the serving table, first in line, the cook opens the lid and the corn is creamed... Mulcahy looks at Igor and says "You... you... you CREAMED IT! YOU NINNY!"... and Igor just says "Well, I was just trying to help, next year you can eat it on the cob for all I care!"... hehehehe... hoo boy...
