This is such a small amount that it wont' have an effect on you. However, as the above guy mentioned cell phones are probably more harmful than a LCD screen. Nevertheless, this is something you don't need to be concerned about.

RE:
Do LCD monitors emit radiation too?
i'm confused, i thought LCD monitors just emit less radiation than CRT monitors do, then i saw this site that said that LCD monitors do not emit radiation, but then again, i saw the figures in this URL http://www.comp.nus.edu.sg/~tanrw/cs1105/analysis_results.html that said LCD monitors emit...

To answer your question correctly, LCD screens do emit radiation called EMF (Electromagnetic Field). They emit at a level of 30-50Hz. Which is not that much really. At a concerning level its about 300Hz. Which can be emitted from wi-fi modems, mobile phones etc.
The Health Dangers of CRTs
- Small amounts of radiation (x-ray frequencies and others) are emitted as the electrons sweep the screen.
- At close range, this radiation (literally pulsating fields of energy) puts biological stress on humans, animals and plants.
- CRTs also operate at an extremely high voltage, which continues on long after the computer has been turned off.
LCD ( Liquid Crystal Display) Screens Radiation - these screens are flatter, often appearing as panels. LCD screens are safer than CRTs.
- Display is composed of color or monochrome pixels that are filled with liquid crystals.
- Liquid crystals are lit by a backlight or reflector.
- LCD screens utilize very small amounts of electric power.
Keep it mind!
Laptops and desktop computers with LCD screens are significantly safer than CRT screens, but they still emit low levels of radiation—enough to harm your health.
Electromagnetic Field Exposure Over Time…
Countless epidemiological studies, from The British Medical Journal to the World Health Organization (WHO) to the California Department of Health, have linked EMFs to lymphoma, leukemia, autoimmune system deficiencies, birth defects, tumors, insomnia, heart problems and more.
It’s been shown that EMF strength decreases with distance. The fact that the laptop is often situated right next to your body means you’re receiving your computer’s radiation at its fullest strength.

everything emits radiation heat cold and electric appliances emit so radiation and in some places in the country there is back ground radiation but what type are you talking about? You get more Radiation from an hour in the sun than you would from lets say a 50 inch monitor. I hope that helps don't worry about it it will not harm you unless you are one of those that everything harms you.

As what they all say, everything emits radiation. You really can't avoid the reality. If you are very concerned about your eyes. I better suggest try to put something like a desktop fountain, or a plant beside your computer where you work. It can help your eyes not to dry, because as we stare at a monitor, we seldom blink as usual. so, the humidity (vapor) from the fountain can help soothe your eyes. besides, it's part of feng shui too. it will bring you good health. -- that explains it!

I wouldn't worry about the very small amount of radiation that emitted from any screen...I'd be more worried about the cellphone that stuck right up again your head...
