what is the book 1984 about can some one write a essay explaining the whole book please im really behind in the reading and i have a test on the book please explain the whole book please write an essay so i can pass my test.

Ok, well, I don't remember enough about it to help you for the test, but maybe with what I can remember along with what others know, you can take it all and do well.

The book is basically about what the author thought the world was going to be like in 1984. The scary thing is, that it is much like how it is today...only today is not nearly as drastic as the book. The book is about how the governement watches and controls everything the people do. There are certain books you can't read, words you can't say, letters you can't write, etc. It is about complete control, and the fact that nobody will say anything or try and make it any different because if they do, they will be thrown in jail for it. I can't remember much about the characters. I do remember that there is a main guy, and a main girl, and I'm pretty sure the guy is tired of living his life in fear and wants to do something about it.

And that is honestly all I can remember. I hated the book, so it really went in one day and out the next. I'm not sure if this helps you at all, but it's a start. Maybe it will click something in someone else's mind and they can remember more. Have you ever thought about cliff notes?
