I am not envious...my parents live in the USA during the winter. Trust me, I don't like it...from the food, to the entertainment, to the attitude of most people, the super-convenient, braindead lifestyle.

2. americans scared of everything, guns give false sense of security, guns are ok, just that in america it's easy for anybody to get one, so sometimes people that shouldn't have them have access to them

1/6 poverty many there by choice the others are just ashame that instead of helping them a choice was made to send 40 billion to make people who aren't even citizens feel safe

culture is driven by a lot of selfishness and competition and not enough of cohoperation and team unity.

because France is "out to lunch" now aday on been tough against bad guys in the M.E. among many countries in EU and we are basically alone (with a few exeptions) fighting the extremist all over the world.

2. The gun violence, conveniently occurs most in places where they have no guns, of course if you're from Europe you've heard of Switzerland, a country which has more privately owned guns per capita than the US. Leave our guns alone.

Because as long a criminals are able to get guns, law-abiding citizens are going to need them for protection. Remember, the first thing any oppressive government will do is round up all the guns 'for public safety.'

Because the wealthy don't want their money taken from them and given to someone else, and it is the wealthy who back political candidates.

As Winston Churchill said, democracy is the worst form of governemnt ever conceived by man, except for all the rest of them. I don't like all the elected officials in my government, but the form of government is, indeed, the best.

Our country, all by itself, is about two-thirds as big a Europe. An American doesn't have to leave his country to get to almost any vacation experience he could wish for. Why ski the alps when we can ski Aspen? Why go to Nice (France) when you can go to any of dozens of beaches here? So I guess the answer is, we don't go to other places and learn other languages because we don't need to.

Because people who have never been in position to need an abortion, and who will never be in that position, think they are morally superior to anyone who gets pregnant through carelessness.

Capitalism breeds a sense of self-absorption: I worked for what I have, so why should I give it to someone who didn't work for it?

We do like France. If you don't believe it, go to Normandy Beach and count the number of American gravestones in the cemeteries there.

Most Americans don't like war. We also don't like terrorists flying planes into our buildings. Sometimes, if you want to stop the second, you have engage in the first.

Because we have advanced to the point that most of us don't have to do physical labor: we work with our brains more than our muscles, and so we don't get enough exercise. Add to this that the amount of food available to most Americans would feed six third-world citizens, and you get a lot of fat people.

Note: America collectively throws away enough food every day to feed every hungry child the entire world.

- They were raised that way, and those that raised them told them that evolution is not compatible with their beliefs.
- America is a young country that was built off of civilian warfare, and so held with the gun. Then with expansion and conquer of the western portion, more warfare was necessary. Once again, people raised their children to believe in the gun, and thus they will. Now, guns are so prevalent that getting rid of them completely will only complicate the matters.
- Because they made bad choices? I dunno, ask them. Just make sure they're not the crazy ones.
- Our form of government, yes. The current, not everyone does. In fact, there has probably been no government since the 1800s that everyone has agreed with.
- Because America in itself is so diverse, Americans generally feel they get enough exposure here. That may or may not be true, but it still happens. Also hurts when you go to another country and people shun you because you come from America.
- See position one.
- There is less of a gray area in America; either you help people a lot, or you rarely if ever. It also depends on your definition of help, but the previous statement works.
- France was drummed up as a 'cowardly state' and something that was 'working against American interests.' Thus, people were taught not to like them. I personally don't have a problem with France.
- As before, America was bred out of war, built out of war, and has proven itself good at it. Now, that doesn't mean that we 'like' it, but it means that we don't shie away from it if it comes up.
- American culture is built on a fast paced society, where some people have little time in their day to exercise, or even eat proper meals. Thus, they get their meals from high fat/carb content meals, with little exercise. This causes weight gain in the long run.

Well lets take it one at a time.

1. evolution, are you going to tell me every single person in your country believes in evolution ? I don't think so. their are kooks everywhere.

2. Gun Violence. I'll answer with a question, why does Europe have so much violent crime, and still not put them in jail?

The US is 20th on industrialized nations for the violent crime rate according to the UN.

3. Because our poverty line is higher than most countries median incomes. Heck, 1/6th of Canadians are listed below Canada's poverty line.

4. Government. Probally because America has the longest continuous form of government on Earth. When anyone else's Government last as long as ours, let us know.

5.travel/culture . Now that's a myth, just as many Americans travel to Europe, as Europeans travel to America. More Americans have lived in Europe( not visited, but lived) than the citizens of any other country have lived outside their own country.

6. Abortion: Because taking a fetus's life is not right. There is no justification for it at all.

7. Help: Help each other more than who ? On what do you base this on? Every study I have ever seen, shows Americana's give more charity per captia than any country on earth.

8. France: Because they are arrogant, even Bono says the French are arrogant. Plus, its more like brothers fighting, you just don't hear the other half.

French forces rescued american citizens in the Ivory Coast, France sent additional forces to bosnia and kosavo, to free up American soldiers for deployment to Iraq. You didn't hear the media talking about that.

9. WAR, compared to who ? If I remember correctly, it was Europe that saw 80 million citizens killed in wars in the 20th century, not America.

10. Fat: Another myth, Fat compared to who ? the UN says that the EU nations are the fattest in the world. At one time America was the fattest, and people have been quoting that since, but that was 20 years ago, things change, but the stereo types never seem to change.

1. We don't have to.
2. Guns stop violence, some states have gun control laws, yet have a lot of gin violence, those that do not, have very little criminal activity.
3.To lazy to get jobs.

Oh no, don't tell me, no - your one of those insufferable Canadian kids. Ya sure, your parents go to southern U.S. during the winter to get away from unbearable Canadian weather. Canada has done a few good things (they did help mother country England out during the two world wars) and has a few good points, but not many people want to live there. Most people that I've met, from Canada, are really nice people, but they have such a terrible inferiority complex about their country. That's why they try so hard to convince the rest of the world that they are better than Americans. Instead of having us guess where you're from, why didn't you just tell us? That's such a Canadian thing to do. But we all know you're a very young person, a child perhaps, so its OK.
