My answer is in a general way yes, but if you overclock your processor you must add more cooling power to let the processor cool and continue to work the faster the processor goes with maximum cpu useage say at 90 percent then cooling would allow it to run fast as the system would not reboot due to overheat condtions. computer geeks wil over clock their cpus and put liquid cooling systems in their comuters to make them speed up but as the cpu sppeds up it heats up so you must pull the heat away from it fast or it will burn up the cpu. I know I did not answer this well But I think you get the point.

Depend on how good the cooler is. I would suggest looking at the reviews for that product if there are any. They don't necessary improve performance but they increase the life and reliability of the processor. The best type of cpu cooler are a water cooling system but they can be hard to set up.

NO, but you would definitely prolong its life. Only way to increase performance is thru overclocking. BUT it also increases temperature. That's where the magnificent coolers from Thermalright, Scythe, Noctua, Coolermaster, Zalman, Thermaltake, etc. come in.

well it doesnt improve your cpu 's performance but cooling your cpu's temp will help your pc's health condition, try putting some cpu fan inside your pc then observe it then you can tell what is the changes after putting some cpu fan in your pc hope this one will help.

No, the only thing cooling your CPU does is extend the life of the processor.
If you overclock the CPU, you risk overheating and destroying it.
