Tonight my boyfriend and I got our car mirrors smashed?

We parked on the side of the road parallel to the road, one in front of the other. Both side mirrors were bent all the way back and smashed. The cop seemed to think it was some ex of ours mad at us because we live in a small town and there hasnt been any other mischeif like this in the area. In the past year he has had eggs thrown at his car and keyed too, but this was the final straw. My question is... do you think this is some random kids with base ball bats, or some wild firey ex? I have been mostly with my boyfriend for 7 years, and no really violent ex's so wtf? give me your opinions please.. I am 27 years old.

We are both ft students and dont have any bad reputation at all. We go out and have fun but thats all, no enemies.

It just sounds like random vandalism.

That or your boyfriend ticked somebody off and they are taking it out on his car.

I would hate to guess but normally guys take it out on other guys. Girls take it out on guy's cars. So, I would be thinking it is a girl he knows jealous of you.

Probably random. This has happened in my town, and the cops seemed to think it was done by drunk teens coming from a nearby bar. My antenna has been broken off my car, side mirrors pushed all the way back, doors shot up with a bb-gun, tires tampered with---I was always told it was mischievous teenagers. I didn't have any enemies and the neighborhood was nice, quiet, decent.
