~~~ Hi Eric. Guess what, by answering this very difficult question of yours (like you hand out easy ones) I will get the last two points I need to reach level 5!! So I picked a hard one so I'd have to really work for it. Okay, I would have advised my child self not to hate myself so much and to focus on the good in me. Then I don't think I would've started using drugs when I got older. And after graduating from High School, I think I would've had the confidence in myself to join the Army like I was tempted to do. My life would have taken a different road, I'm sure. I could have gone to College if that didn't work out, but as a younger person I didn't think I even had a future so I didn't care. I would tell myself I better care because the future happens whether we want it to or not. Now, let me reassure you... I don't regret what I went through in my adult life so far, but things could've been better. I mean...Hey! I'm at level 5 now. That's something! And now I'm going to go gawk at all my points on my Profile Page..... Next goal: I'm going to figure out how to make my own 360 page. So stand by for ....coming attractions. ~~~
I would advise my younger self not to do,what was advised I not do by everyone.but at that age I knew everything already,and was the "creator" of my destiny.I would advise my self to have finished school,and to stay away from drugs,if I had known what an impact (the drugs)were going to be in my life,and that it would end up being a basic"life or death" situation,and I would be a full blown addict....I probably still would have done it,because once again I knew everything.
Don't quit college. It's a lot harder to finish with a full time job and a child
Don't get involved with high school drama. You're stressing yourself out over nothing and the people causing the drama won't matter to you in 5 years
Start saving money now. Don't wait until you need something to start saving
I would sit myself down and say "SELF! you are going to wreck that pretty car you got for your birthday , and to replace it you have to get a job, Self working is not a bad thing you need to learn not to be a spoiled little brat because you are going to be in the nest for the rest of your life... So basically self grow up now move out go to college and dont need daddy so much..."
yeah I needed to know all that
I wouldn't change a thing because everything I went through made me who I am today! And for the first time in my life, Love, I really like who I am and love my life. Actually, I love myself, which really opens me up to loving others.
However, as for my younger self.... I would give her a REALLY big hug and say, "It's going to be a VERY bumpy ride! But you'll make it. DON'T give up!"
No. On second thought, I wouldn't want to scare her. I would just give her a big hug and say, "Everything will work out."
I don't like to think what I did or didn't do was right or wrong. Its the past, you can't change it. You live and learn from your mistakes. That's what makes you who you are now. The past is what creates you, for good or bad. There is nothing you can do to change the past. All you can do is look ahead at the future and try and shape it to the way you want it, based on what you have learned from the past.
I'd warn myself not to fall too hard for the boys I dated in college. And I'd save myself a lot of time by telling me it's okay if girls are into science and math, and nobody really needs a BA in English. So, go straight ahead into that medical program.
