There is a group called Nephu claiming that the song "Same Girl" is their song. I heard the song and it seems that there may me a problem. Do you think Usher and R. Kelly would steal a song? Well I am not quite sure about R. Kelly but Not Usher!!!

The group said in an interview that they didn't have rights to the song. So technically, it wasn't their song to begin with. All Usher and R. Kelly did was pay for the rights to do the song from the people who wrote and produced the record. Can't steal something you paid for.

r. kelly and usher didn't steal anything. nephu was having problems with their record label and execs and couldn't get things worked out so the record label sold the song to r.kelly. nephu didn't write the song and didn't own any rights to the song, it happens all the time and there's nothing wrong with it, that's the way the business is.

Throughout history, there have been many incidents with reputable names involved.

George Harrison was taken to court for his 1970 "My Sweet Lord" sounding a lot like the Chiffons "He's So Fine". Harrison won.

Kurt Cobain admitted he stole the guitar lick for "Come As You Are" from the Weird Science soundtrack contribution from the band Killing Joke, called "Eighties". No lawsuit royalties there either.

Then, of course, there's Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice. But this is a music question....

Hey I'm not sure if they actually stole that song. But I really don't think so. From what I have read the group sold it to Ush and Kels but you know how the media is when it comes to stuff like that. I'm trying to find more info out I'll let you know when I do

That's messed up! R. Kelly & Usher are pros. Why would they steal an amateur's music?
