1) It says that society is willing to "free" the african american but not willing to let him be apart of society. While they can be said to be freed, they don't have all the rights as the "american". In short it is easier to let him be free at the bottom then to accept them into what we call society as we like it.
2) All it means is that when you have talked, talked and talked and nothing changes. then you have to demand changes sometimes using violence.
And by the way who is "He"............... malcom

Pushed for more interaction legally.
1. This is the strife and stresses of the black man being given freedoms, but not being shown equal respect or job opportunities. It means the black man was given freedom
from slavery but not accepted (or integrated) into white
schools, housing developments, or even allowed to sit
in the "front" of the bus. (Public transport buses had lines
painted about 3/4 back from the front of the bus, and blacks
still had to sit behind the line in the back of the bus.)
2. Civil Rights org. felt that the white man must be forced to
accept the black children in white schools, and housing.
They "bused" black children as many as 30 miles to be
educated in white schools. This caused a hateful reaction.
The busing was forced to cause integration, but a better plan would have been to hire black men equally in the job market,
thus seeing past the discriminating, and respecting the black man more.

He is saying that a peaceful solution us no longer possible and that, because of this, any solution is alright. What he means it that violence is now a viable solution. He is advocating violence as a means to an end in the political process. MLK and Ghandi never let the pressure of their people force them in to violent means. That's why they are such revered leaders. They took the hard way and succeeded instead of the easy way, Violence and armed force. People that want quick solutions often think that violence is ok and the only way.

2) Are you talking about Malcolm X? MLK and Ghandi both believed in peaceful ways of resisting against racism. For example, they supported sit outs, or peaceful means of coming to some kind of solution or conclusion. however, this 'he' believed that these ways were not enough to gain equality. Basically he believed that whatever means should be used to gain equality even it meant violence and death.
integration is basically talking about putting together the blacks and the whites. segregation was America back 40-50 years ago. Segregation meaning keeping blacks and whites separate. like separate schools, drinking fountains, seating in buses.

Who is "HE"??
HE obviously didn't buy into peaceful means of change as did MLK and Ghandi, advocating bloodshed, or whatever means to integrate into society, while dismissing the 360,000 Americans that died to end slavery as insignificant.
