He's my favorite and now he's being a pain about not getting Moss. He wouldn't leave GB, would he?

Favre is letting Ted Thompson know how the Pack players feel about the tightwad approach to free agents and the Moss situation. Packers didn't sign any significant free agents, even though had $20+ million available under the cap. And Favre offered to restructure his own contract to bring Moss to GB. Favre and some of the veterans want to win now. Thompson wants to rebuild on the cheap and win later.

If Green Bay isn't in the running for the playoffs in November, 2007, Green Bay will be losing one great quarterback, who may be on the down slide in his career, but can still outplay many quarterbacks in the league.

Someone may have already made an offer to Brett Favre and Favre could be testing the waters for Green Bay to be picking up certain players that Favre thinks would suit Green Bay. The scenario between Favre and Green Bay needs to be played out for another month or so, then we'll all get a better picture of what's happening in Green Bay...

The pressure is on Green Bay to be in strong contention in late November/early December for the playoffs.

Ok this will be the only time I will ever stick up for Brett Farva. Mostly because I hate him but I can recognize his talent as a superior QB.

A friend and I had a long very heated argument about dear Brett a few months back that actually ended in pushing and shoving. And with that being said I believe that Brett Farva deserves “the Roger Clemens” treatment of football I think he should be able to play and practice when he wants to and get the money he wants. Granted he isn’t the type of QB who takes advantage of that. Furthermore he should be given the players he wants. He has proven himself time and time again that he knows what the hell he is doing and if he wants to put a player on the team then you freakin do it. Don’t pitter patter around and second guess arguably the most talented player to ever grace the field. Yes player not QB. If he wants Pac-Man Jones you get him if he wants Ricky Williams you get him because in his mind it will work. And I would bet my bottom dollar says that he is right.

I spelled his name FARVA on purpose!!

Brett would never leave Green Bay, hes said that many times before, and i read where he said he wanted to be traded but then said it was just steam and he was mad at Ted Thompson, he has a right to, the last two years can you name one thing Ted has done for brett on the offencive side of the ball? i mean the moss trade wouldnt have been that hard to do and hell Brett said he was gonna take a pay cut and give moss 3 million dollars of his own money..thompson wouldnt have had to pay him basically anything, brett say a reason to be mad and i dont blame him. GO PACK GO!!

My thoughts on it are more like this...instead of calling and saying

"TRADE ME!"

he called and said

"listen buddy, if you aren't going to do anything to help me out, then why don't you just trade me and get rid of me?"

More of a poke to say listen, you're not helping the offense of this team.

I completely agree with Favre for being angry, hell, I'm suprised it took this long to come out that he was angry. TT has run this team into a very bad position, and while it's not in the basement yet, once favre retires, it will be.

He's disgruntled and trying to effect his will.
Problem is...his career is closing, so he doesn't have that much room to wiggle. He's just letting management know that he doesn't agree with their decisions.

He has a point: Moss would have been an interesting addition to the program: but he's not going to leave GB willingly.

If he doesn't watch himself, though, he may get traded like Montana did.

he is mad at the front office,,i would be too...they talk about building within now...a slap to the face of favre,,should of told him that two years ago then at least he knew it would be a waste of time to play up there..and not to mention doing nothing in the offseason,,there were other players that green bay couldve got besides moss,,stallworth is another speedster with no character issues,,not to mention they couldve done something in the draft,,,they even couldve got defensive help (thomas and clements were available),,its hard to believe those two guys would not help a mediocre team,,,,if i was favre i would be steaming too

He isnt now but he wanted too. Randy Moss had talked to GB and would have went there for the money they offered, But GB didnt want him. GB front office said quate for quate we are getting stronger we will build within.Well Favre knows his time is running out and that statement was not cutting it and he is getting frustrated with the front office not giving him any good weapons to throw too..

I doubt he will leave but he's right to be upset. It was stupid of GB management not to take Moss at the bargain they were offered. They would have had no problem getting him to agree to "behavior" clauses either.

Only if he retires. I don't think any team wants to invest any money in Favre. So he should be in Green Bay until he retires or is run out of town.
