Obama realizes he is well liked by many, he also realizes his chances of toppling Hillary are slim. I doubt if he will get down in the gutter with her as she may his way to the White House.

It's a lot more than name recognition. By now, everyone who cares knows exactly who Barack Obama is. Right before the debate Obama was only 5 points back from Hillary. Now in the space of two weeks he is 15 points back from her. The debate had some effect - he looked and sounded nervous and he gave a really weak answer to a very important question - which Hillary nailed immediately and answered strongly and confidently. A lot of folks were expecting a lot from him in that debate, and he just didn't deliver.
On top of that, he is getting a lot of criticism for being too general in his answers when asked about the war, or immigration, or health care. A lot of broad statements without concrete details and plans. Hillary has shown just the opposite. She has a firm and realistic plan for Iraq, and while I don't agree with her on immigration she has a plan for that too. She has talked candidly about her first failed plan for health care and how she has learned from those first mistakes. People notice strong confident answers vs. generalized rhetoric. That is a part of his problem right now.
Obama's inexperience is already hurting him. He may have made a big mistake in aligning himself with Al Sharpton, that has made a lot of people uncomfortable. And just this week he made that huge gaffe about the tornadoes in Kansas. Then, gave a pretty weak explanation for why he didn't know the details of something so devastating that the rest of us knew immediately he was horribly wrong when he claimed 10,000 had died.
There's a long way to go and nothing is impossible. But I think that he will continue to be plagued by making silly but costly mistakes because of his political and campaign inexperience.

Not if Hillary's machine has anything to say about it.Hillary Clinton has spent alot of time, money and effort for this chance to become president. She's not about to let this young, inexperienced newcomer spoil her chance.
You will see negative things come out about him and the press will say that these charges were started by conservative right-wingers.
Obama's main weakness is his lack of experience.Ironically, this lack of experience is what makes him appealing to many voters. He hasn't been in long enough to a make a mistake.(ie said or done something dumb or propose any major legislation that failed).Unless you count that mistake about the number of deaths in Kansas a few days ago.The press let him have a pass stating he was just tired. That will change as the nomination nears.
Hillary Clinton will use Bill Clinton on the campaign to keep a hold on the black vote.Obama on the other hand will bend over backwards to also appeal to the black vote.Supporting their issues as Hillary says she will.
This will make Obama look like he has no new ideas of his own.And if he has any new ideas, they will be made to look like they wouldnt work anyway.
This will also cause him to lose support from non-black voters looking for someone new with new ideas.
The only way Obama can beat Hillary is to not make a major mistake, thereby keeping the poll numbers close.Do very well in the debates. And this will keep the money flowing into the campaign.Maintaining the campaigns momentum. And finally if Hillary herself makes a big mistake.
Personally,I dont think he has a chance. The Hillary camp has many suprises up their sleeve.Who do you think brought up the fact that he attended a muslim school/or school with islamic studies. It wasnt the Republicans.

Maybe he can. It will really come down to how well each does in their campain speeches. Obama, from what I can tell, is a pretty good speaker, but Hillary is no lamebrain either. I hope Obama wins the election. Not because I don't think HIllary can do a good job -- I actually think she can. But from my point of view, Hillary is sort of a known quantity. As for Obama -- I hope he will surprise all of us. And I'm not worried -- nothing could be worse than the president we have now.

Obama will not beat Hillary nor will any Republican simply because Hillary is the right choice for the American people. She is the strongest most effective candidate. Obama can shoot his chops but he cannot deliver the policies of compassion that will benefit the poor and middle class Americans as Hillary will. Hillary will be our next president and America will be, as Bruce Hornsby sang, "Back in the high life again. All the doors that closed one time will open up again"

The Clintons will end at not something to break Obama's candidacy, which merely could help a reeling Republican occasion keep the oval place of work. they could have a scorched earth coverage of, "if we can't win it, then no person will," with sound-bytes which would be utilized by making use of the Republicans in a common election. This became going to be her nomination in a breeze and the campaign team is reeling with the pollnumbers interior the early usual states.

I think he can, but everyone who believes in him and supports him needs to find ways to let people know about him.
It can be as simple as giving people his website address or telling people about his book.
If they go and look for themselves, most of them will like what they see. especially if they read his book, because it gives so much insight to his character.
On June 9th groups of supporters throughout the nation are going to walk to show their support and let people know about him. You can look for one of those events near you, and if there isn't one, you can create one. They will send you materials to pass to the people who are interested in learning more about him.
And if you can't attend something like that because you work a lot of hours or go to school or something, there are all kinds of groups in the blog section of his website, and you can get all sorts of ideas about campaigning from them. I know there are a lot of blogs for Kansas on there (where I live) and it's a red state, so I'm sure you'll find something.
It's never too early to start, especially with primaries being earlier this campaign.
It is time for a change in our country! And I am excited for the first time about a politician! We have to get the word out!

I hope Obama beats Hillary to go up against the Republican candidate. I can't imagine having her as our President. However I hope the republicans win.

I think both suck...and if it comes down to these two "obama/clinton" or "clinton/obama"...I will be upset...I think gravel, kucinich and edwards are the best bets...I think it will be interesting to see who it will be for repubs though...Just because I think dems are gonna take it this year and I think the repubs know it...they are gonna have to come out with some big guns...
